José María Marbán Prieto graduated with a degree in Mathematics from
the University of Valladolid (UVa) and has a PhD from the same university. He
is an expert in College Teaching College and Development of Learning Resources
for Teaching Mathematics in Primary and Secondary Education. He is currently
Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education of Segovia in the Department of
Teaching Experimental Sciences, Social Sciences and Mathematics. He has been
the Director of the School of Education at Soria Education (2004-2010), Vice
Chancellor for Teaching at UVa (2010-2012) and Vice Chancellor for
International Relations and University Extension at UVa (2012-2014).
His main research interests are framed in the
field of Mathematics Education, especially in the field of professional skills
of teachers and teaching excellence. He has also worked in various initiatives
related to particularly vulnerable groups on disability issues, immigration and
gender. He is the author of several scientific publications and has
participated in numerous regional, national and international projects of
educational innovation, teaching mathematics and applied mathematics.
